چکیده

Ebola virus (EBOV) disease is a zoonotic that caused by four species of genus Ebolavirus. The EBOV has outbreaks (1976-2022) in West and Central African countries, high mortality rate made it public health concern. filamentous having negative stranded non-segmented RNA. genome the unique capability forming soluble glycoprotein. Since its first emergence human history, several effective therapeutics vaccines are developed. These include replicative or non-replicative vectored vaccines, DNA monovalent polyepitopic vaccines. This article reviewed structure pathophysiology as well immune response infection. In addition to diagnosis vaccinations available cure at acute chronic stages. Ebola haemorrhagic fever virus: pathogenesis, immune responses, potential prevention.

Ebola zoonotic RNA filovirus represents human most virulent and lethal pathogens, which induces acute hemorrhagic fever and death within few days in a range of 60-90% of symptomatic individuals. Last outbreak in 2014 in West Africa caused panic that Ebola epidemic can be spread to other continents. Number of deaths in late December reached almost 8,000 individuals out of more than 20,000 sympto...

Understanding Ebola Virus Transmission

An unprecedented number of Ebola virus infections among healthcare workers and patients have raised questions about our understanding of Ebola virus transmission. Here, we explore different routes of Ebola virus transmission between people, summarizing the known epidemiological and experimental data. From this data, we expose important gaps in Ebola virus research pertinent to outbreak situatio...

Preparedness for Prevention of Ebola Virus Disease

Ebola virus (EBOV) is the causative agent of Ebola virus disease (EVD; formerly known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever). EBOV has not been reported to be present endemically in Korea. Fruit bats, known to be a natural host for the virus, have not been discov ered in Korea, and the only channels through which EBOV can circulate in Korea are through importation of infected animals, products manufactur...

Ebola virus transmission in guinea pigs.

UNLABELLED Ebola virus (EBOV) transmission is currently poorly characterized and is thought to occur primarily by direct contact with infectious material; however transmission from swine to nonhuman primates via the respiratory tract has been documented. To establish an EBOV transmission model for performing studies with statistical significance, groups of six guinea pigs (gps) were challenged ...

Ebola virus: the role of macrophages and dendritic cells in the pathogenesis of Ebola hemorrhagic fever.

Ebola hemorrhagic fever is a severe viral infection characterized by fever, shock and coagulation defects. Recent studies in macaques show that major features of illness are caused by effects of viral replication on macrophages and dendritic cells. Infected macrophages produce proinflammatory cytokines, chemokines and tissue factor, attracting additional target cells and inducing vasodilatation...
